Told through the medium of stop motion, two characters, cocooned in their love, go on a heart breaking journey of self discovery. The richly textured world, made from soft cloud like fabrics, is a deceptively innocent space for the raw pain of the the lovers as they fight tooth and nail to hold on to what they once had. Their woven faces are kissed, knotted, ripped and torn in equal measure, ever-weathering in the harsh reality of love. It's a love story, but not like you've seen before. No FX, just shooting with inks & paintings. "The Other Side" is an experimental dreamlike video rocking. The visual compositions have been created out of paint, oil, inks and soap. The Other Side is an idyllic way to get in the eyes. The retinas of the eyes tear and we circulate in the optic nerves to see all the exchanges of information that occur when we contemplate the world. All videos were filmed in 8K with the RED Helium camera. Our commitment to pioneering new talent and giving opportunities to ALL staff is at the heart of the shorts program. This year, there was a blind pitch where the whole company was invited to pitch an idea for the music video to Scouting for Girl’s Christmas single. Specifically, the brief asked for an “odd couple.” Katie won the blind pitch with a heart-warming pairing between Dan, a living gingerbread man, and his human girlfriend, Mandy. Night skiing without artificial light: Closing lift stations and the setting sun mark the end of the action for most skiers. Not for Max Kroneck and Jochen Mesle. While ski towns fall asleep they head into the mountains and see them awaking in a new light. The snow starts glistening again. It ́s just the sound of their skis turning in fresh snow that breaks the silence of the full moon night. "Some of you might have been on a full moon ski tour before. It ́s a really special vibe which is hard to describe when you haven ́t experienced it by yourself. With this movie we wanted to capture that feeling of being out there skiing in a clear full moon night. There is not much that distracts you from the pure beauty of the mountains." - Jochen Mesle Of course backcountry skiing at night is a challenge, but to shoot it without any artificial light at all was a different story. The team spent nine intense nights shooting and ski touring in the Austrian alps in winter 2019 to create this film. CYKLE | A Collection Of Short Stories

This is a serie of experiments i made and posted a few months ago on Instagram. Some short extracts were also in my latest showreel but as they generated a lot of positive feedbacks. i thought they deserved their own full length edit. This serie has been made around the idea that nature is able to generate new organic forms and patterns which are not regulated by our physical world. The goal behind that was also to push myself to learn some new animation techniques, texturing workflows, photographic compositions and environment lightning. But to make it really immersive, the soundtrack was crucial, so i contacted 2 very talented audio artists. Jérôme Chassagnard and Jeremie Mathes from who i knew the work since a very long time (AB Ovo period) and they joined me on board. One of their music track was perfectly creating the mood i was searching for. So i made a quick edit of the sequences, put their track on it and sent it to them. The response was immediate: they loved the film and they were really excited to collaborate on the project. I’m so grateful they accepted it as we found a lot of similarities in our mutual work so there’s a good chance we’ll do this again in the near future.

This film is available in 4K - click the Settings icon and select 4K to view in 4K. ~ The impetus for "WORLD WAY: The City of LAX" was born in 2013 as I sat on a rooftop in El Segundo, waiting for a shoot to begin and looking out over LA. The incoming planes looked like a highway, evenly spaced and spread across multiple lanes. This led my eye to the end of their path - LAX. I realized I had a fully unobstructed view of the airport, and immediately started capturing timelapses of it. I became fascinated with the many layers of movement that were visible - planes taking off and landing, planes taxiing, ground support equipment moving on the ramp and throughout the airport, passenger vehicles on World Way, passengers on foot outside and inside the airport - all moving at their own unique pace. It made me realize that LAX is a city unto itself, with so many moving pieces and individual people all doing their part to keep it moving. Despite its struggles, it is a logistical and modern marvel. I wanted to show it in a way it had never been seen. In 2016, I was able to bring this project to life with help from the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board, Los Angeles World Airports, and a group of talented shooters. We set out to capture these layers of movement in a way that cannot be seen with the naked eye, and from vantage points that few get to experience. It's been a long journey from then until now, but was very much worth it. Getting to experience every aspect of LAX as a non-traveler, and having the opportunity to work with so many people who help keep it operating has given me a new perspective on this place.
