Siren is a visual journey into Royal Ballet Principal dancer Francesca Hayward’s relationship with ballet, drawing on her early experiences of the art form to create a contrastingly intimate yet voyeuristic experience for the viewer. In collaboration with choreographer Michael Montgomery and designer Simone Rocha, director Jess Kohl expertly crafts a hauntingly beautiful narrative that expresses the macabre origins of the ballets that captivated Francesca as a young child.  Styled by Robbie Spencer with cinematography by Eoin Mcloughlin, composer Isobel Waller Bridge’s off kilter score immerses us further into Francesca’s inner world. The film was also made possible by collaboration with executive producers, Jackson Forsythe (UNSIGNED), and Juliette Larthe (Prettybird). Saintmaking: the 90s 'nuns' who made gay, HIV positive icon Derek Jarman a saint

This year marks the 30th anniversary of film-maker Derek Jarman’s canonisation by an activist group of gay male 'nuns' known as the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. At the time in 1991, Derek Jarman was the most prominent person in the UK living openly with HIV. He was outspoken, radical and unapologetically queer. The perfect antidote, in the Sisters’ eyes, to Ian McKellen’s acceptance of a knighthood in the 1991 new year honours.

NU - "Choose your future" (Dc). This is such a dear project to me, done with a lot of collective effort from everyone involved. One of the most personal commissions I've ever done. With a beautifully reworked version of 'Canto de Ossanha' by Baden Powel and Vinicius de Moraes. It was challenging to wonder what 'Future' means. We shot it in Salvador, Bahia with some of the most inspiring people I've ever collaborated with. Have you ever thought about what kind of journey a dollar bill makes before landing inside your wallet? In an age of COVID-19 with an intense scrutiny on hygiene, no one seems perturbed about handing another person cash. While the world went into lockdown and screamed at each other to keep their distance inside Walmart, cash still made its rounds from hand to hand, from pocket to pocket, from one insanitary surface to another. DIRTY MONEY tells the story of a freshly printed ten-dollar-bill emerging from an ATM and follow its gradual unhygienic demise through the disgusting scenarios it encounters while changing its owner multiple times. But isn’t there a more hygienic solution to rescue Hamilton’s handsome face from mutilation? There certainly is. Life is lonely for young Palestinian, Shukri. He spends his days on the internet, immersed in a world where Western popstars preach self-love and unity, and where he can forget the lack of acceptance he faces in everyday life. But a life dreaming of paradise abroad does not bode well for a teenager stuck in East Jerusalem. What he desperately wants is to connect with others like him, who feel caught between an occupation, globalisation, and the universal growing pains that come with adulthood. In this 16mm documentary film, we follow Shukri from a childhood in East Jerusalem to moving to the hillside apartments of Amman, Jordan and the sandy shores of the Dead Sea. We discover the origins of his life as the ‘Wifi Rider’, and how he channelled his frustrations into art on the internet via tRASHY.
